New brand. New warehouse. New us!

Jun 07, 2021

Welcome to the new and improved version of our business. We have been working tirelessly over the past 3 months to get things up and running and we are pleased to announce that we have finally made it!

Just as COVID was allowing us to get back into the world (Dec 2020), we moved into a complete shell of a space in the heart of Coburg. It was a bit of a jump from the 3 car garage that we were currently operating from, but was much needed given the demand we were receiving for our products. We now have large racking for all our supplies, a forklift AND a showroom for customers to come in and hear our products! Woohoo!

2020 was an interesting year for us. We braced ourselves for the impact of the first and second lockdown, yet the lack of interest never seemed to arrive. It seemed people had some extra time on their hands and found themselves at the blank wall and decided they finally needed to do something about it. We are very grateful for those that supported us over that time and hope we encouraged some creative energy in covid times.

As we now look forward to 2021, we are excited to announce some big changes to the business and what this might mean to our customers. The first and most obvious one is that we have changed our brand. We have operated under the name TomTom Acoustics for the past 3 years and decided to go down the more commercial ‘see it in a store’ type brand as is the direction we are heading.

The new name Verbox, is a combination of the two words ‘reverb’ and ‘box’, in case you didn’t catch on. That being our ‘box' like panels serve the purpose of absorbing sound, or reverb in a space. Great right?

Along with our brand, of course we needed a fancy new site to match it. This is the site you are currently viewing and we absolutely love it. This slick piece of work was designed and developed by our good friend Edward Thring. He did everything you see on this site, from the graphics to the illustrations to the branding. I can’t thank him enough for the time and effort he has put into curating it to our needs and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking these services.

As we have been growing and increasing our customer base, we have considered the numerous requests to design and make a number of new products that will go alongside our acoustic panels. They include, diffusers, bass traps, stands, portable booths and more. So stay tuned for these items as they are a matter of months away! We will also be introducing a number of curated packs, a staining option for our framed panels and a few other special features. Some of these packs will also include studio furniture from our good friends at Pleko which make quality desks, stands and racking. I’ll do a new post when they go live on the site, but you can visit their website www.plekofurniture.com to see what they have on offer today.

Apart from that, we wish everyone a prosperous new year as we come out of this dreadful pandemic and invite you all to come down to our space and check out our showroom!
